Also featured in this episode is the Youth Action Program, an organization of  at-risk young people dedicated to rebuilding their community, while re-constructing their lives. The program enables the youths to receive construction training, as well as a G.E.D. degree. The “Youth Action Program is located in East Harlem, New York.

Lastly, we are introduced to Joseph Singleton, a young man who became a martial arts expert after a car accident confined him to a wheelchair.

Among his other accomplishments, Singleton reached a career goal by competing in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain. He qualified in the wheelchair weight division. Singleton is originally from Washington, D.C. and now resides in Columbia, MD.
